Agribusiness Knowledge Centre (AKC)

The Agribusiness Knowledge Centre (AKC), a Public Private Partnership (PPP) initiative between ICAR-National Academy of Agricultural Research Management (NAARM), Hyderabad and Gyantech Information Systems Private Limited (GISPL), Hyderabad to primarily encompass Value Chain players such as Farmers, Academia, Research and Industry through exchange of Knowledge among them. AKC was formed on 7th April 2010.

Highlights of Agribusiness Knowledge Centre:

  • National Workshop on Agribusiness Knowledge Exchange: A Three Days National Workshop on Agribusiness Knowledge Exchange attended by about 40 leading companies like ITC, SGS, and Coromandel etc. that was conducted from 22-24th April 2010.
  • Specialized Course on SEED MANAGEMENT: AKC had conducted a 3 Days specialized course on SEED MANAGEMENT with a specialized course material prepared and distributed. The course was extremely successful and appreciated by all participants across the Seed Industry and Farming Community. The proceedings of the meet have strongly recommended the need to use Certified Seeds by the farmers to enhance both agriculture yield and quality of the produces.
  • Agribusiness Knowledge Centre – Cabins: AKC had allotted cabin space to five companies at NAARM. The companies were- Future age Infrastructure, Mozo Bamboo Plantations, Sahaja Aharam, Shree Jagadamba Samiti, Yes Bank.
  • Technology Commercialization Meet: AKC had successfully conducted 3 Days National Mega Meet on Technology Commercialization from 29th September 2011 – 1st October 2011 with participation from several innovators. AKC proposed to commercialize five technologies among the showcased technologies.
