To provide a platform for experts and professionals of agriculture to meet and discuss research, education and extension systems, To promote and strengthen agricultural information systems for addressing challenges in value chain and To engage with policy makers for addressing gender equity, women empowerment, retaining youth in agriculture and sustainable agriculture.

Membership
- Founder members – also life members
- Life members
- Honorary members – GB can select distinguished members without membership fees – they don’t have right to vote
- Ordinary member – annual members
- Student member – annual members
Eligibility
- Life Membership – Any graduate in agriculture and allied sciences (UG/PG/PhD degree)
- Student Membership (validity for 12 months) – Any person undergoing a course of study (degree / diploma in agriculture and allied sciences)
- Annual/ Ordinary Membership – A graduate or a diploma holder working in the field of agricultural research and management, faculty of agriculture and allied subjects
- Honorary Membership – Distinguished Experts
Privileges
- To attend and vote in all annual GB meetings
- To introduce and second a candidate for membership and move resolutions in annual GB meetings
- To receive publications of the Society either free or reduced rate
- To have access to the library and other facilities of the Society
- To hold any office of the Society on being elected
- To get benefit of reduced registration fees for seminars/ symposia etc. organized by the Society
