Bioinformatics for Genome and Proteome Analysis: Training Concludes at NAARM Hyderabad
A Training programme on “Recent Bioinformatics Tools for Genome and Proteome Analysis” organized by the ICAR-National Academy of Agricultural Research Management, Hyderabad was organized at the campus from 17th to 21st September, 2019. This training programme was conceived with an idea to provide an insight to the participants about the enormous potential and application of Bioinformatics and its tools management in the domain of agriculture.
During the training, the participants were provided with theory and hands-on practical sessions on various software and tools on the different topics related to the emerging requirements of bioinformatics tools and software’s used in the agriculture and allied sectors. Besides Consultative Group on International Agricultural Research, the resource persons from the National and State Government Institutions participated in moderating the discussions.
In his Valedictory address, Dr. Ch. Srinivasa Rao, Director, ICAR-NAARM emphasized the importance of bioinformatics in agriculture. A total of 17 participants from various ICAR Institutes and State Agricultural Universities who participated in the Training Programme were awarded certificates.
