Haritha Haram at ICAR-NAARM
Shri Jogu Ramanna, Hon’ble Minister for Environment, Forests, Science and Technology and BC Welfare, Government of Telangana, planted saplings in the campus of ICAR-NAARM in Hyderabad today, 22 Jul 2017, as part of the third phase of Haritha Haram. This is one of the flagship programmes of the Telangana State Government, with the objective of increasing the tree cover in the Telangana State.
He was accompanied by Shri T. Prakash Goud, MLA, Rajendranagar Assembly Constituency and Officials from the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) and the State Department of Environment, Forests, Science and Technology. Dr Ch. Srinivasa Rao, Director, ICAR-NAARM and Dr Kalpana Sastry, Joint Director, ICAR-NAARM received the Hon’ble Minister. The Staff of ICAR-NAARM, Trainees of FOCARS 106, and students of the ICAR-NAARM Post-graduate Diploma in Management (Agriculture) also participated in the programme.
