Work Experience
Dr. K.N.Yamini has more than 16 years of professional experience including teaching and research (13 years) and also in the management of higher education (13 years) at Professor Jayashankar Telangana State Agricultural University. She is specialized in Genetics and Plant Breeding with experience in Plant Biotechnology (in crops like rice, pigeonpea, safflower etc.). She has worked as scientist (Plant Breeding) at Regional Agricultural Research Station, Warangal (2007-2012), Assistant Professor, Institute of Biotechnology, Hyderabad (2012-2020), Associate Professor and Technical officer to Dean PG Studies, PJTSAU, Hyderabad (2020-2023) and Professor, Agricultural College, Adilabad, PJTSAU (September 2023 to February 2024). She has handled several external projects funded by DBT, USAID etc., She is co-developer of seven rice varieties of PJTSAU. She has guided 23 PG-Ph. D students and has authored more than 40 publications. She has experience in education management, in aspects such as University level coordination of PG-PhD Research and Academics, Common Examinations, Implementation of BSMA 2020 regulations and syllabi for the faculties of Agriculture, Community Science and Agricultural Engineering.
