Work Experience
Dr. Mahantesh Shirur worked as scientist (Agricultural Extension) at ICAR –Directorate of Mushroom Research, Solan HP (2009-2018), ICAR –Indian Institute of Soil and Water conservation, RC, Ballari (2018) and Deputy Director (Agricultural Extension) at MANAGE, Hyderabad (2018-2024) before joining ICAR-NAARM as Principal Scientist on 10-01-2024. His work on digital content and video documentaries on mushroom cultivation are popular as learning and teaching aids. Dr. Mahantesh Shirur was the Program Director of the prestigious Feed The Future India Triangular Training (FTF ITT) and Indian Technical Economic Cooperation (ITEC) International and national training programs of MANAGE during 2018-2024 and Principal Coordinator (DAESI) during 2020-2024. He has authored more than 40 research papers, and 40 other publications.
