Work Experience
Dr. Navneet Kumar worked as Associate Professor at College of Agricultural Engineering and Technology of Anand Agricultural University at Godhra, Panchmahals, Gujarat from June 2012 till April 2024 before joining the Academy on 16th April, 2024. He also contributed to three externally funded projects, nine institutional projects till date. He also acted as Head of Processing and Food Engineering Department, Post Graduate Teaching Incharge, DR nominee. Before Anand Agricultural University, he was selected as Lecturer by UP Higher Education Commission and posted at Rastriya Kisan (Postgraduate) College, Shamli. He also worked as Reader at Sir Chhotu Ram Institute of Engineering & Technology, Choudhary Charan Singh University, Meerut, as Research Associate at ICAR – Indian Agricultural Research Institute, New Delhi and ICAR – Central Institute of Post Harvest Engineering and Technology, Ludhiana earlier. He was awarded ‘Distinguished Service Certificate’ by Indian Society of Agricultural Engineers (ISAE) and JFST Best Paper Award in the field of Food Engineering by Association of Food Scientists & Technologists (India). He is a life member of six Professional Societies.
He has guided 26 B. Tech., 9 M. Tech. and 1 Ph.D. students in Processing and Food Engineering discipline and taught 10 different courses at bachelor, master and doctoral level. Dr. Kumar has 58 research papers in International (41) and National (17) journals, 2 patents, 4 books, 1 edited book (Springer), 16 book chapters, 07 annual reports, 17 popular articles, several trainings/ workshops / awareness programmes/ seminars, several posters and practical manuals in his credit. He was awarded Fellow of Institution of Engineers by Institutions of Engineers (India) on 31 January 2018.
