Work Experience

Dr. Siva Kumar S obtained his Ph.D. degree in Dairy Technology from National Dairy Research Institute, Karnal and Post Graduate Diploma in Food Safety and Quality Management (PGDFSQM) in IGNOU, New Delhi. Dr Siva Kumar S has completed more than 20 Years of service in Dairy Industries and Academic institutions. He is a recipient of the Best Teacher Award of College of Dairy Science and Technology, Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University twice (Academic Year 2017 & 2022), National Academy of Veterinary Science (NAVS) membership Award (2022-23), Associate Fellow of National Academy of Dairy Sciences India (NADSI) in (2023-24) and received more than 15 Best presentation awards from various national and international conferences.

Dr Siva Kumar has undergone specialized training in University of Wisconsin Madison, USA during the year (2015) and University of Melbourne, Australia (2023) in Nanotechnological interventions in Food Safety and Innovations. As a PI and CO-PI, he has completed more than 7 Extramural Research Projects funded by DST, ICAR, RKVY etc.

He has guided more than 20 Post graduate students as a Major Advisor and Dean PGS Nominee. He has published more than 40 Research papers in reputed National and International Journals, 3 books and 10 teaching manuals for the benefit of scientific communities. Dr Siva Kumar S has also conducted various training programmes, seminars, workshops, brainstorming sessions and delivered various invited lectures for the benefit of both academicians and industry personnel of dairy industries. He has developed more than 10 new technologies for the benefit of dairy entrepreneurs & academicians and out of these two technologies were transferred to Dairy Entrepreneurs.

He has been acted as an Expert member of Export import inspection Agency for approval of various Milk Processing Units for export and selection of Assistant Manager, VERKA, MILKFED, Punjab & Academic Posts in Various State Universities. He has worked as a Head, Department of Dairy Technology, In charge of Experimental Dairy Plant, Chairman Research Committee, NSS programme officer, Nodal officer of PMS Scheme and Committee member for placement & training cell of College of Dairy Science and Technology. He has been acting as an editorial board member, reviewer for various national & international journals and Expert comments for suitability of the submitted Research Projects to SERB/DST/DBT for funding.
