Sankalp- Annual Agribusiness Festival Concludes at ICAR-NAARM

ICAR-National Academy of Agricultural Research Management organized SANKALP ’19 during Sep 06-07, 2019 at its campus. This is an annual business competition conducted by PGDMA students of the Academy. Over 3,250 students from 200+ campuses including B-schools, agricultural universities & premier engineering colleges had registered for different events. About 100 short-listed students presented their cases in six contests, viz. Samadhaan (Case Study), Adhishtatha (Best Manager), Samiksha (Contemporary Business Solution), Analytica (Data Analytics), Advitiya (B-Plan) and Brand Maester (Branding). A Workshop on Decoding Agri-startup: Nurturing & Creating Entrepreneurs (DANCE 2.0) was conducted in association with a-IDEA in which 3 successful agri-startups shared their experiences. The winners of the events were selected by a panel of juries comprising of NAARM faculty and corporate professionals representing Coromandel International, Samunnati Financials, Rasi Seeds, Rallis India, SeedWorks and Greenbliss Agro. Dr. Pradeep Kumar, VP (HR), Coromandel International and Mr. Nitin Chaudhary, Director, Samunnati Agro-Services graced the inaugural ceremony. The winners of different events organized were felicitated with cash prize by Mr. Ramesh Kumar Kaul, Head, International Business, Rasi Seeds and Mr. Ajay Juneja, Business Head, Vegetable Crops, Seedworks International.

 Dr. Ch. Srinivasa Rao, Director, ICAR-NAARM in his valedictory address urged the students and participants to empathize with the farmers to work on their problems. Dr. Ranjit Kumar, Chairman, Organizing Committee thanked all the sponsors for making this event possible. The event acted as a platform for co-learning and an intellectual delight for the participants.
