Secretary DARE and DG ICAR Launches AGRI UDAAN® 3.0
On 31st August, 2019, AGRI UDAAN®, Food and Agribusiness Accelerator 3.0 was launched by Dr Trilochan Mohapatra, Secretary DARE and DG ICAR in presence of Dr Ch Srinivasa Rao, Director ICAR-NAARM, Mr Jayesh Ranjan (IAS), Pr Secretary, Departments of Industries & Commerce (I&C) & Information Technology, Electronics and Communications (ITE&C), Govt of Telangana, Mr HK Mittal, Former Advisor and Member Secretary, NSTEDB, DST, Mr Hemant Songadkar, CGM, OFDD, NABARD, Mumbai and Dr P Appa Rao, Vice Chancellor, University of Hyderabad. The occasion was witnessed by more than 270 delegates from academia, corporates, research organizations, investors, government functionaries, evangelists and startup entrepreneurs were present during the occasion.
Dr. Trilochan Mohapatra stressed upon various issues like wastage, post-harvest management, production, marketing can be resolved through innovations which youth take up as opportunities by creating impactful enterprises. He wished AGRI UDAAN 3.0 a grand success in which scaling up of such innovative enterprises is envisaged. He emphasized the need to keep farmers interest during the whole process.
Dr . H. K Mittal has told that to become a good entrepreneurs knowledge about the business is important, But more important is to take timely action upon the knowledge.
Sri. Jayesh Ranjan shed light on the Entrepreneurial ecosystem in Telangana and asked to take maximum benefit from the policies of state government. He has praised the NAARM’s TBI: aIDEA and praised their efforts in transforming innovation ecosystem in agriculture.
Mr Hemant Songadkar, briefed NABARDs efforts in promoting entrepreneurship for Rural development. He emphasized the need for convergence and networking for a vibrant entrepreneurial ecosystem.
Dr Appa Rao, while speaking about the Incubators of UoH told that they are ready to co-work with all prominent stakeholders like NAARMs TBI a-IDEA.
Dr Ch Srinivasa Rao, welcomed the guests and briefed on the activities of ICAR, NAARM and a-IDEA. He has given a detailed timeline and plan for AGRI UDAAN 3.0
