Uttar Pradesh Agriculture Minister visits ICAR-NAARM

Honorable Minister of Agriculture, Government of Uttar Pradesh Sri Surya Pratap Shahi visited ICAR-NAARM along with delegation members consisting Dr. S. Solomon, Vice Chancellor, Chandra Sekhar Azad of Agriculture and Technology, Kanpur along with senior officials of Govt of UP visited NAARM on 29^th Aug, 2019.

Sri Surya Pratap Shahi in his interactions presented the overall objective of the visit is to come out with action plan for agriculture development in Uttar Pradesh in terms of research, quality teaching, training of stakeholders for enhanced capacity. He appreciated the critical role of NAARM in country agriculture development in terms of human resource management and research policies and suggested that NAARM support in developing training modules for senior agriculture officers/ managers and Farmer Producer Organization of Uttar Pradesh. He also suggested to have national workshop inviting Agriculture Ministers of different states for developing collective road map for agriculture sector in India for achieving the Honorable Prime Ministers Mission of “Doubling the Farmers Income in India by 2022”.

Dr. Ch. Srinivasa Rao, Director, ICAR-NAARM presented the activates of the academy in terms of research, education, training and research policies covering various sectors of agriculture in India.

Later the delegation visited various laboratory facilities including the TELAgE lab.
