Director, ICAR-NAARM Presents Agriculture Strategy For doubling Farmer’s Income
Dr. Ch.Srinivasa Rao, Director, ICAR-NAARM presented the strategies for doubling farmers income in India with particular emphasis on Telangana and Andhra Pradesh at Rhythunestam Award function on 3rd October, 2017 at Vijayawada, where Honorable Vice-President of India, Sri Venkaiah Naidu, Honble Agriculture Minister of Govt of Telangana Sri P.Srinivasa Reddy, Honble Agriculture Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Sri. S. Chandramohan Reddy, Mr Venkateswa Rao, Chairman, Rythunestam Magazine and others participated. Dr. Srinivasa Rao presented strategies needed for the doubling the farmers incoming based such as crop zoning based on soil, water and climate; drought proofing, rain water insurance, soil health scheme, PM Phasal bheema yojana, Krishi Sinchai yojana, agri-business innovation, cyclone management, integrated farming systems, value addition and markets etc.
